Indian cotton prices fell 3-4% in the past week as the coronavirus scare created chaos in China, the biggest buyer of India's cotton fiber and yarn, according to the Cotton Association of India.
Prices fell below the minimum price support levels.
However, with international prices still fairly strong, the Association doesn't expect domestic prices to fall much further.
At the same time, a weaker rupee is helping to support exports.
