The U.S. has passed the USMCA and initialed Phase 1 of the US-China trade deal.
The U.S. Senate approved the revised North American trade pact. The deal had previously been approved by the House of Representatives in December.
At the same time, the US and China have finally agreed to Phase 1 of a new trade deal.
The deal will keep most tariffs intact, but in some cases at a lower rate.
For apparel, the good news is that new tariffs - that would have impacted most garment categories - will not come into effect.
